Skoda
The Skoda booth attracted a lot of public, mostly due to the launch of the new Yeti. The car has been doing duty around the world and getting positive reviews. The 4x4 comes with the 2l PD engine that has been doing duty in the Skoda Laura and Superb for some time now. The interiors are typical Skoda, with a premium feel and a lot of goodies on offer. The pricing will decide the outcome of this car in India, since the soft-roader category usually has a lot of buyers. The other exciting car on display at the Skoda booth was the Laura RS, also known as the Octavia RS in other parts of the world. The original Octavia RS did well in India and has a cult following to this day. If Skoda does decide to bring this version to India, expect to see it in the hands of performance enthusiasts. The car looked good with its twin-tailpipe exhaust and funky yellow colour and beautiful bodykit. The other offerings at the Skoda booth were the usual fare consisting of the Laura, Fabia and Superb, though there was a Fabia Greenline on display. This car has the usual diesel/petrol engine under the hood, though boasting of higher economy, lowered weight and better aerodynamic efficiency.
