This is a great scoop of the European-spec Ford Fiesta being tested on the highways in Tamilnadu. While the current-spec Fiesta looks extremely handsome, a replacement was always on the cards since it has been on sale for a few years now. The Euro-spec Fiesta will replace the current Fiesta that has been designed from scratch by engineers in Australia, specially for India.
The new Fiesta has been in production internationally since 2008 and has been received quite well by the international media. The models expected for sale in India are the 4-door sedan and hatchback form factors. Engines in production include Petrol versions from 1.25L to 1.6L Duratecs and the Diesel Duratorq engines are available in capacities ranging from 1.4L to 1.6L. In India, we expect the hatchback to be sold with the 1.25 and 1.4L Petrol and Diesel engines and the Sedan with the 1.4L and 1.6L Diesel and Petrol engines respectively.
